Gillhams were delighted to welcome over 60 of their Court of Protection partners, referrers, contacts and friends to The Freud Museum in Hampstead, North London, for a wonderful evening reception on Thursday 23rd October.

The Freud Museum (www.freud.org.uk ) was originally the home of Sigmund Freud and his family after their escape from Austria following the Nazi annexation in 1938. The centrepiece of the museum is Freud’s study, preserved just as it was during his lifetime.

A highlight of the evening, in addition to the tasty canapés and classical music accompaniment, was a talk given by eminent historian, gerontologist and speaker William Tyler MBE, who offered us a brief window into Freud’s life and times as well as discussing some of the connections that exist between psychoanalysis and the understanding and treatment of Dementia.
