Trainee Solicitor

Rebecca is a Senior Associate Solicitor in Gillhams’ Wills and Probate Department and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in October 2019.

Rebecca trained and worked at another Legal 500 firm before joining Gillhams in September 2021 and has specialised in Private Client work since October 2018.

Prior to this, Rebecca attended the University of Southampton, graduating with a 2:1 LLB in International Legal Studies. She then went on to complete the LPC with an LLM in Professional Legal Practice at The University of Law and achieved a distinction.

She is currently undertaking further professional development by way of a Diploma with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Rebecca has a wide experience in the Private Client sector and specialises in the drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.

Within these areas Rebecca can assist with: providing estate planning advice to reduce an Inheritance Tax liability; preparing Wills which fulfil the wishes of the testator – including those where a Will Trust is appropriate; administering extensive estates, both where a Will has been left and where one has not, and those which have foreign assets and business interests; advising on variations to an estate in order to utilise available Inheritance Tax allowances; and assisting with the appointment of an attorney to ensure the wishes of the client are fulfilled and their best interests protected even when they no longer have capacity.
