Associate

Anees is an Associate Solicitor in our Court of Protection team, and works closely with Partners Chris Poxamatis and Shareen Tanvir on a variety of Property and Affairs Deputyship cases.

After attaining her LLB degree, Anees acquired some experience in the city, and went on to complete both the LPC and a LLM (Hons) in 2021. She then completed her Training Contract and qualified as a solicitor in May 2023.

Anees first discovered her passion for Court of Protection work early on in her legal career, in 2018, whilst making a referral from a different department – and she hasn’t looked back since. Over the course of seven years, Anees has worked closely with a number of professional Deputies and has developed extensive experience in Court of Protection matters. This includes supporting litigation teams on high-value, fast-paced and complex property and affairs cases with ongoing litigation, managing substantial settlement awards in the best interests of protected parties, and overseeing asset-management for elderly clients in their final years, to enhance their quality of life.

Outside of work, Anees enjoys all things creative – from baking and painting, to reading and writing fictional literature. Charity work is central to Anees’ personal life, with particular focus on fund-raising for children affected by famine and war across the globe.
