Legal Meanings
order absolute
1.
A rule or order that comes into effect immediately and which is complete and unconditional. Used in the context of charging orders, injunctions and other court based relief.
Court orders may be made on an interim basis or a final basis. When issued on an interim basis, they are temporary and subject to be made final or absolute. When orders such as charging orders and third part debt orders are issued on an interim basis, the court will almost invariably allow an opportunity for other interested to make submissions prior to the order beng made absolute (or final).
Usage: The third party debt order was made absolute after the hearing of the bankers of the judgment debtor at the hearing.
Related Words: court order; final order; absolute assignment; injunction; charging order; unless order; interim order.
