Term: imputed notice
1.
When an agent acts for its principal, and the agent has notice of a state of affairs or fact, the principal has imputed notice of the state of affairs or fact.
Usage: The solicitor having been aware of the entry on the Land Register meant that the principal had imputed notice of the entry.
