Term: sensitive personal data

Sensitive personal data is information that meets the requirements of ‘personal data‘ and relates to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, membership of trade unions, conditions of physical or mental health, sexual preferences and life, and offences committed or alleged to have been committed.
The Data Protection Act 1998 outlaws processing of sensitive personal data unless requisites have been met.
Usage: The sensitive personal data was received by the data processor.
