Term: personal data

In the UK, personal data is information that is connected to a living and identifiable human being. The individual does not need to be a citizen or resident of the UK. The data must identify an individual of itself (such as a name) or when used in conjunction with other data that a data controller is in possession of or is likely to receive.
Personal data all information relating to the data subject and thus includes expressions of opinions and intentions.
Usage: An IP address of itself is not personal data.
