Term: bare licensee
1.
A legal person who has a right to use intellectual property, or to enter onto land. Such licences are revocable at will and may or may not be a contractual licence. Bare licencees' rights may be contrasted to a contractual licence whereby the licencee is entitled to the licence for a fixed period or subject to terms dictated by the licensor.
Usage: The user had been granted a bare licence to use the computer system.
