bare licensee

A legal person who has a right to use intellectual property, or to enter onto land. Such licences are revocable at will and may or may not be a contractual licence. A bare licensee's rights may be contrasted to a contractual licence whereby the licensee is entitled to the licence for a fixed period or otherwise subject to terms dictated by the licensor in a licence granted by contract.
Usage: The user had been granted a bare licence to use the computer system.
